Ryan Reaches Final Of Pan Celtic Contest

Paula Ryan, a singer-songwriter and musician from Gormanstown near Ardfinnan, with her song ‘Havin’ The Craic (Rira, Gleo agus Raic)!’, has won through to the final of the Pan Celtic National Song Contest which will be held in Carlow on Thursday, February 7th.
It is a great achievement for Paula to be a finalist in this prestigious national song contest to find a song to represent Ireland at the Pan Celtic International Festival. The festival is a wonderful cultural gathering with representatives from all the Celtic nations including Wales, Scotland, Brittany, Cornwall and the Isle of Man.
To reach the final Paula had to compose a new song with original tune and lyrics in Irish. Paula’s song is a lively song in the true tradition of fun-loving Irish party songs and can be heard on Paula’s website paularyan.co.
